Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles
Here's the DH's montage from our day in the Seychelles. Yes, I make friends with a giant tortoise. Yes, I dip my toes in the Indian Ocean. And yes, the DH discovers a rather "ladylike" nut that's endemic to the island!
Still having so much fun!
Is the nut edible?
ReplyDeleteI guess they are. There are some boutique companies that use it as flavoring in ice cream, flan, breads and such. Celice said the interior is not like a regular coconut. No water, no interior you can consume raw or shredded. It's more gelatinous and is more often used in perfumes and Chinese medicine as a cure for cough.
